Watch: Dogs serving in the Israeli army on the front line fighting terrorism

The Oketz division of the Israeli Defense Forces is comprised entirely of Israel’s specially trained canine soldiers and their combat-ready handlers.
The IDF's Oketz Unit is the independent canine special forces unit of the Israel Defense Forces. Soldiers of Oketz (as well as their canine companions) serve on Israel's frontlines to ensure the safety of all Israeli citizens.
A very special aspect of the Oketz Search and Rescue team is that it is comprised exclusively of Female combat soldiers.
Each of these amazing women must complete a full year of training, including a challenging commando course, before being accepted into this elite unit and paired with a special pup.
Israel is the only democratic state in the entire Middle East, the only place in the Middle East where Christians are safe and women are free.
Women in israel From all sectors and religions are more disadvantaged economically, politically, and socially than are women in the rest of the Middle East (Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, etc.)
